Nirvana Brewery: Made by hand

Taking inspiration from Keef’s seminal piece of storytelling, over the next 12 months we will bring you closer to our team, the brewery, and the people that support us in producing our beers.

Brewing to strength we preserve all the nuances of hundreds of years of brewing history, there’s no ‘rebalancing’ after boiling off the alcohol, so our ingredients and the choices made by our team are fundamental to the quality we pride ourselves on.

Brewing for us is still a craft, not a process to automate.

Next week we start with the hop harvest, looking at the process and people responsible for bringing us the absolute best “hoppy” aroma, flavour, and bitterness for our brews.

We meet the family running a multi-generational farm, focussed on this notoriously temperamental plant, maintaining a tradition and machinery from a different era. We talk about the human element of farming, and the potential for a skill to mature into an art.

Following in December we will take you through processing, working with the team at Charles Faram to showcase the care that goes into the curation of a range they have been building since 1865.

We hope you will join us on this journey, it’s heading somewhere very special, and we are excited to kick it off!

🍻Cheers! 🍻

About Nirvana Brewery:

We are the UK’s only No/Low alcohol dedicated brewery, one of only 16 Soil Association certified Organic breweries and the only one in London.

We believe that outstanding beer doesn’t need alcohol, that award winning flavour is not tied to abv, and that drinking with friends doesn’t have to mean a slow start the next day.

Brewing since 2016, our beers contain no animal products, less alcohol than orange juice and are between 33 and 66 calories per bottle.
